I had such a good time with Aaryn and his parents during his senior session!  We started off in the Old Town area, then headed over to the Keeper of the Plains and finally ended up at Oak Park as the sun was setting.  Aaryn is really into baseball and has been playing since he was a little boy.  Mom requested a shot of him in his Southeast High uniform with an image of him as a little boy in his uniform incorporated into the shot, how fun is that?

I always warn the parents that I will pull them in for a shot or two towards the end because it is always so sweet to see the parents beaming with pride at their “baby”.  Aaryn also brought his sweet puppy along for a few fun shots!  It was a pleasure, Bennett family and congratulations, Aaryn!

I used to work with Evelina’s mom, Katey, what seems like ages ago at Planet Hair!  I am so thrilled for her as she just radiates love for her tiny new babe.  She warned me before our session that Evelina was “sassy” and she lived up to that during the hour and half I was with her!  She definitely wanted to stay up and make sure she knew what was going on at all times.  We did get her to doze off a few times and I made the most of that time to shoot away!  Congrats, Katey!  Evelina is gorgeous!

We had to reschedule the Seghers family once for crazy, cold Kansas weather.  The day of our session it was pretty darn chilly, but we were determined to make it work.   We were able to get several great family images and a few of Miss Averie for her one year portion, but it was just too cold to continue.  We decided to finish up Averie’s portion at my home studio…and they turned out GREAT!  Averie has such a fun personality and I had to be quick on my feet to keep up!

I met the Rodriguez family through a good client who purchased a gift certificate for this sweet family to celebrate the adoption of their daughter.  They were finally at the tail end of the adoption process and were ready for family pictures with the entire family!  They are so incredibly sweet with each other and just a really fun family.  We started the shoot in the Old Town area and made our way towards the old train station.  I’m excited for this family and all the adventures they will have as a family of five!

Sweet Presley is ONE!  I just love smash cake sessions and Presley’s was just so much messy fun!  All my smash cake sessions include two sets so we can get in some sweet, dressy images before the kiddos are covered in cake.  Presley’s mom sent me a picture of her dress prior to the session, so I whipped up these fun pinwheels and “ONE” sign for the backdrop.  I love how it came out and I don’t think Presley could have been any more perfect for her session.  Happy first birthday, Miss Presley!
